Ultrasound Scan

This type of scan produces very good images and it’s a useful tool to find the correct diagnosis. What happens is that an approx. 10 cm long, very thin telescopic probe or tube is inserted via the vagina. This provides a good picture of the thickness of the uterine lining, the size of the uterus and the structure of the tissue. And we can see if there’re any fibroids, polyps, cysts or a thickening of the uterine wall. You’ll be able to follow all this on a screen, and we’ll tell you what we’re doing and why.
